Customers can subscribe using their JazzCash mobile wallets. It is a hassle free service as customers do not have to fill complex documentation or carry health insurance cards or seek permission before treatment.

Product Features:

  • Financial Protection: The product offers a financial safety net to customer against costs of hospitalization and laboratory test due to Covid-19. Compensation to family of insured customer is also provided if the insured passes away due to Covid-19.
  • Simple Enrolment Process: Paperless enrolment process allows enrolment in a matter of few minutes. No medical examinations are required for enrolment.

A simple sign up process

  • JazzCash mobile wallet customers can subscribe to Corona insurance by simply dialing 786*8*8#
  • Customers who do not have a JazzCash Mobile Account can simply dial *786# from their biometrically verified Jazz SIM to open their Account. Once the Mobile Account is registered, they can subscribe to Corona Insurance by dialing *786*8*8#

Terms & Conditions

  • Coverage is only for tests, hospitalization and death in Pakistan
  • Waiting period of 14 days upon enrolment will apply
  • Duration of insurance is for 3 months which will commence after waiting period of 14 days has elapsed
  • Age limit: 18 – 60 years; Coverage will terminate on 60th birthday
  • There is a free-look period of 5 days after subscription. During this period customers can request full refund of premium if they have not filed a claim
  • Coverage is only applicable for positive coronavirus test. Test fee will not be reimbursed if test is negative

Claim Process

Customers with positive Coronavirus test can notify claims at 051 8466 466. A service representative will guide them through the claim process. Following documents will be required:

  • Customer’s CNIC and documents proving positive Coronavirus infection
  • Hospitalization Claim: Discharge slip of hospital and treatment record
  • Death Claim: Death certificate issued by applicable government authority, beneficiary’s CNIC. Guardianship certificate will be required if beneficiary is minor

Copies of documents are acceptable. However, original documents may be requested as well. Claim notification and documents should be shared within 15 days of discharge from hospital.

Claims are settled in five business days after submission of complete and valid documents.

MicroEnsure Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited is providing administrative services for Corona Insurance. EFU Life Assurance Limited is the insurance company of Corona Insurance and is responsible for paying claims. The address of EFU Life Assurance is:

What risks are covered in Corona Insurance?

For insured customers Corona Insurance offers reimbursement for actual cost of laboratory test, hospitalization cash benefit and a lump sum death benefit.

How long will my coverage be valid?

After subscription there is waiting period of 14 days. Your coverage will commence after this waiting period and will continue for 3 months.

What is the claim process?

Customers with positive Coronavirus test can notify claims at 051 8466 466. A service representative will guide them through the claim process. Within 15 days after discharge from hospital, customers should again notify 051 8466 466 and submit claim documents.

What documents are required for claim?

  • Customer’s CNIC and documents proving positive Coronavirus infection
  • Reimbursement for Coronavirus test: Expense receipt
  • Hospitalization Claim: Discharge slip of hospital and treatment record
  • Death Claim: Death certificate issued by applicable government authority and beneficiary’s CNIC. Guardianship certificate will be required if beneficiary is minor

How can I cancel my subscription?

Customers can cancel their subscription within 5 days of registration by calling 4444, provided a claim has not been notified.
